Temporary Closure of Kildare Town Library – from 6th February until April 2024

Due to essential building works at Kildare Town Library, we ask all our customers to note that from Tuesday 6th February 2024 there will be no in-library service until April (exact date to be confirmed).

From 9.30am on Tuesday 23rd January until the library closes at 5pm on 2nd February , it will be possible for Kildare Town Library users to come in to the library and to borrow up to 20 items at one time with an extended 8 week return date.

The library service no longer charges fines for late items, though customers wishing to return library items can do so at The Heritage Centre, Kildare Town, or any other Kildare Library.

Customers will still be able to request items online and select an alternative Kildare Library at which to pick up their requests.

Age Friendly Coffee Mornings will continue to be held bi-monthly at Áras Bhríde
Come along for Tea / Coffee and cake and a chat on 
Wednesday 7th, 21st February, Wednesday 6th and 20th March 2024.

Anyone wishing to return Library books on those days, or has a library query, can come along and Margaret will be happy to assist you.

We are also offering our borrowers a Housebound Service. Please contact Newbridge Library 045 906130 after Tuesday 13th February and Anthony will be happy to arrange this for you.
